Tech Hackathon
When you join our DemTech Hackathons, you join a community of democracy defenders, freedom-loving activists, and entrepreneurs who embrace collaboration and innovation across borders, sectors, and cultures. Our community shares the desire to defend freedom and democracy while advancing business and tech.
We are inviting out-of-the-box thinkers with a background in technology, business, startups, policy, and democracy activism to innovate new solutions that will make tech work for democracy. All ages, and skill levels are welcome.
TruthTechThon
This year, at DataFest Tbilisi 2024, we will host TruthTechThon, a media and information literacy hackathon. The Media Development Foundation (MDF), in collaboration with international partners, invites you to join us for this exciting event.
The goal of the hackathon is to develop electronic resources, such as computer games or interactive educational tools, that will:

Raise awareness about media and information literacy.

Equip media users with the skills needed to combat disinformation.
The hackathon started on August 15 and is held in a hybrid format, featuring both online learning components and on-site meetings. This setup will allow teams from any part of Georgia to participate.
