Givi Meishvili

Givi is a research scientist at Microsoft where he focuses on developing AI-driven avatars. His research interests include novel view synthesis and 3D reconstruction of faces, computational photography in the context of human faces, and multimodal learning.

Before joining Microsoft, Givi completed research internships at Microsoft Mixed Reality Labs and Disney Research. He earned his Ph.D. in the Computer Vision Group at the University of Bern in Switzerland. Givi's academic background includes a BSc in Computer Science from Tbilisi State University in Georgia, and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Geneva in Switzerland.
